TVS iQube Review 2026 – Real World Range Test

    support@wheelxpress.comBy support@wheelxpress.comJuly 3, 2026Updated:July 4, 2026No Comments4 Mins Read

TVS Motor Company entered the electric scooter space with the iQube, and successive iterations have refined the product significantly. The 2026 TVS iQube arrives with an updated battery, improved range, and the mature SmartXonnect connected technology platform that TVS has honed across its lineup. As one of the few EVs backed by a manufacturer with a proven pan-India service network, the iQube holds a unique trust advantage in the Indian EV market. Here’s our comprehensive real-world evaluation.

    Quick Specifications

    Specification Details
Motor Permanent Magnet Synchronous (BLDC Hub)
Peak Power 11 kW (14.7 bhp)
    Peak Torque 33 Nm
    Battery Variants 3.4 kWh / 5.1 kWh
    Range (IDC) 100 km / 145 km
    Real-World Range 75–85 km / 110–125 km
    Top Speed 82 km/h
    Kerb Weight 120 kg
    Ex-showroom Price ₹1,04,900 – ₹1,44,900

    Design & Styling

The TVS iQube has a clean, understated design that fits TVS’s broader family scooter aesthetic. The oval LED headlamp, smooth body panels, and compact tail section give it a contemporary but conservative appearance — one that appeals to practical family buyers rather than style-seekers. Available in Pearl White, Starlight Blue, and Tropical Mist, the colour choices reflect the family-oriented positioning.

TVS build quality is well-regarded, and the iQube benefits from the same manufacturing rigour applied to the Jupiter 125 and Apache series. Panel construction is solid, paint finish is consistent, and the plastics quality feels appropriate for the price range. The seat is wide and moderately cushioned, providing adequate comfort for urban commuting.

    Motor & Performance

The 11 kW BLDC motor delivers a maximum torque of 33 Nm, which provides strong initial acceleration characteristic of electric motors. The iQube S and ST variants use a more powerful motor configuration, enabling a more engaging riding experience. In Sport mode, the iQube feels genuinely brisk off the line and confident in city traffic gaps. Normal and Eco modes dial back performance for enhanced range.

Top speed of 82 km/h is adequate for city riding, though the Ola S1 Pro’s 120 km/h makes the iQube feel conservative for performance-focused buyers. TVS has prioritised range and reliability over peak performance — a sensible approach for everyday family use.

    Range & Charging

In our real-world test, the 5.1 kWh iQube ST delivered 110–125 km per charge in mixed city riding (Normal+Eco modes). In pure Eco mode, the claimed range of 145 km is achievable on flat terrain with disciplined riding. For a typical Indian urban commuter covering 30–40 km daily, this translates to charging 2–3 times per week.

TVS includes a portable charger that works with a standard 15A home socket, delivering a full charge in approximately 5 hours. The TVS iQube is compatible with CCS2 fast charging (on select models), enabling 0–80% in approximately 60 minutes at compatible stations. Charging cost at home works out to approximately ₹30–45 per full charge.

    Ride Comfort & Handling

TVS has tuned the iQube’s suspension specifically for Indian road conditions — the telescopic front and rear spring units absorb pothole impacts well, with a tuning similar to the TVS Jupiter 125’s comfort-focused setup. The 12-inch wheels provide stable road contact, and steering is light and precise at city speeds. The low battery-floor centre of gravity improves cornering confidence.

    Features & Technology

The SmartXonnect platform connects to the TVS iQube app via Bluetooth, offering navigation, call/SMS management, ride analytics, and location tracking. The 5-inch TFT instrument cluster is clear and informative, displaying speed, battery percentage, range estimate, riding mode, and navigation directions. OTA software updates keep the scooter current, and TVS’s app is well-maintained. The unique SmartFob key fob enables keyless entry and anti-theft tracking.

    Practicality & Storage

The underseat storage of 32 litres is generous, fitting a full-face helmet and daily essentials. A 12V charging socket under the seat is a practical addition. The wide footboard and rear backrest option (on some variants) improve comfort for regular pillion passengers.

    Price & Variants

    Variant Ex-showroom Price (Approx.)
    iQube (3.4 kWh) ₹1,04,900
    iQube S (3.4 kWh) ₹1,19,900
    iQube ST (5.1 kWh) ₹1,44,900

    Pros & Cons

    Pros Cons
Backed by TVS’s vast service network Top speed limited vs Ola S1 Pro
Mature, reliable connected technology Real-world range lower than IDC claim
Comfortable ride quality Underseat storage smaller than Ather Rizta
Multiple battery options Higher kerb weight than petrol scooters
OTA software updates Fast charging not widely available

    Verdict

The TVS iQube 2026 is one of the most trusted electric scooters in India — and for good reason. TVS’s established dealer network, warranty support, and responsible range claims (unlike some competitors) make it an easy recommendation for first-time EV buyers. It’s not the most exciting EV scooter available, but it’s likely the most stress-free EV ownership experience in the segment. For buyers who value reliability and service accessibility above bleeding-edge performance, the TVS iQube ST is the smart EV choice in 2026.
